Predators and the internet - please read !

I watched this item on TVNZ's Close-up tonight about the predators who lurk within internet chat & social media sites seeking to prey on young girls (and boys) like so many I challenge anyone who watches this to fail to weep inwardly & outwardly that in a so called civilised society such behaviours are so commonplace and typically known to people around the perpetrators. Thank you TVNZ for putting this to air and to reporter Gill Higgens & the team who put it together.


PLEASE watch this if you didn't see it earlier, make encourage your children watch it, in fact get anyone who will listen to watch it. Evil like this can only thrive when it's name is not spoken out loud and hunted down. We must remember that we will not cure this abhorrent disease by locking up the perpetrators but by curing the root cause within society which is all to commonly deeply ingrained abuse of the most sickening kind that can be traced back generations, yes there are mental & psychotic disorders that bring people to enact such atrocities but from my view of life the more common cause is that abuse of the perpetrator and mental health issues are the more common combination.

I used to be scoffed at when my daughter was young for implementing software controls around her internet access, I simply don't care what people thought. If there's is anything positive out of all of this it's that while the internet has made it easier for the predators it has also made it easier for those who choose to to hunt them down. I remember in the early days of the internet some global paedophile rings were busted through electronic detective work with kingpins found in predictable places like the nicer suburbs of Christchurch.

There's much more to be said but I need to let the emotions calm a little. Again good people please spread this article far & wide, the evil needs to be spoken about before anyone will pay much attntion to outing the perpetrators so their healing can begin & we slowly over many generations begin the long slow process of healing the evils within society that spawn their illness.
